Before the decks · Ipanema, 2015
First, a kitchen.
In November 2015 Ivy and her husband opened Kraft Café in Ipanema, a block from Posto 10. She ran the food: naturally leavened bread, fresh juices and an all-day menu inspired by Australian cafés, served next to the only flat white in Rio at the time.
The press followed (Sprudge, Revista Espresso, Qantas), and so did the regulars, including the drummer of The Strokes whenever he was in town. A Neapolitan pizza place in Copacabana came next.
Back then, music was just for fun. But years of running a full room taught her what every good night needs: timing, food landing when it should, and knowing the exact moment people are ready to dance.

From Rio to Perth.
Two cities, nearly two decades and a lot of rooms. And no, she isn't 25: Ivy is a 37-year-old Sagittarius, which explains the energy.

First gigs in Rio
Ivy starts playing in Rio de Janeiro, digging for the rare edits and warm grooves she still plays today.
2015–2016
A café, then the Olympics
She co-founds Kraft Café in Ipanema, then plays the House of Russia during the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, for guests from all over the world.
2018
A new home in Perth
Ivy moves to Western Australia and settles by the ocean in Cottesloe. A year later she's on the line-up of the 2019 Habitat DJ Competition at Geisha.
Two years
Cottesloe Beach Club
A two-year residency on the coast, playing sunsets into late nights, week after week.
2023
DJ Ivy
She starts taking weddings, corporate functions and private celebrations, with sound, lighting and timing handled as one.
2026
An award for Perth DJ
Named Perth DJ at the Latino Women's Awards. Nice to have, but the real proof is still the same as at 17: a full dance floor and a room that didn't want the night to end.
The sound
Familiar enough that everyone connects.
Ivy's sound leans into R&B grooves, funk, disco, jazz house and soulful, deep house. She takes the songs a room already knows, the 80s, the 90s and the pop everyone loves, and threads them through hard-to-find edits she first fell for in Rio.
The result is a night that feels like yours: songs everyone can sing, in versions no one has quite heard before.
